2007 WRITERS RETREAT - JAMAICA
includes:
• Daily Sessions: Morning, afternoon and evening sessions designed to lay the
groundwork for the day's activities to lead you closer to a finish product.
Speakers will discuss the writer's craft, and converse about the process of writing.
• Hands-On Workshops: Addressing a variety of genres and topics in writing,
these workshops will be composed of no more than 15 participants. In addition
to other conference activities, participants will engage in free writing exercises
and focus on brainstorming and experimentation.
• Community Environment: You will join writers in a supportive community to
share work and ideas with others who understand the passion for writing.
Participants will receive constructive feedback and encouragement from
facilitators and peers. This retreat will help participants gain inspiration, build
confidence, and provide many networking opportunities.
Each participant will have the opportunity to choose from one of three tracks to
follow for the entire retreat. The tracks include:
